Today's critical literacy lesson was on documentaries and how they can use biased and emotive language. We chose animal documentaries so we are comparing an episode of Mysterious Creatures (Galante), Ant Mountain (Attenborough), and an episode of Walking With Dinosaurs (2025).

Part of Kiddo's homeschooling this term will include reading and working through Layla Saad's young readers edition of "Me and White Supremacy" but because I had to order it from the US, it's taking forever. 😩 Hopefully, it arrives soon. 🤞🏻

I love our local Buy Nothing group because I can always move on toys quickly. When I use FB Marketplace, I end up having to chase folks up or hold onto things for days, which is weird to me since I always list toys as 'free'.

I'm de-cluttering Little One's toys & I've already given away 50-ish action figures. She inherited them from her bro but she only ever plays with the DC Superhero Girls, Power Rangers & ten or so DC/Marvel superheros (mostly Bat family & Spidermen). This is my productive activity for the day 😆

When you know you don't like an author for something they did (outside of their writing) but can't remember what it was 😅 A friend asked me for my author boycott list and now I'm trying to recall why some of them are on it 🤔

Decided to update my book rating system as I felt it wasn't balanced enough and that I was under-rating certain titles. Now I just have to go and change the star ratings on all of my past reviews 😅
