It doesn't make any sense to conceive of due process as a right that individual people can have or not have at all tbh. Bad framing from the start. Due process is a restriction on the government's actions, and by definition it applies to either everyone or no one.

This (and the various other mentions of helicopters) raise an excellent additional point: the future is already here, it's just not evenly distributed. Rich people can already fly over traffic. The clamor for flying cars is an extension of the "temporarily embarrassed millionaires" worldview.

I think we should establish an understanding in the United States that if you order the military to carry out a lethal strike against something that is not an imminent threat without congressional authorization, what you did was murder and the entire chain of command is guilty.
