Everything is day by day, but worth noting some dates for groups that have stood up: -7 weeks since front-page claims that Harvard would pony up $500m to appease Trump. Still hasn't happened. -2+ weeks since Trump posted threat below. ICE running wild in Chi + everywhere. But not Nat Guard.

Speaker after speaker at this memorial is explicitly likening him to Jesus Christ. (Slain in early 30s, etc.) Don't know how this goes over with people raised in other faiths. Having been raised as a church-going Protestant Christian, I say: What the hell! This is not how Christians talk.

That’s me in the video. And a Fox News host just celebrated me being assaulted by ICE. If ICE will do this to a congressional candidate with a big platform, just imagine what they’re doing to the people they’re kidnapping.

Other things they have done have seemed cruel, vindictive, illegal, corrupt, biased, self-defeating, hypocritical, un-Constitutional, generally bad, etc etc. This one may win the standalone title as flat out crazy.

Look at photos of US troops in Fallujah. (eg here: www.rollingstone.com/politics/pol... ) They're armed like these ICE agents in Chicago. But none of them are wearing the cowardly face masks of today's ICE thugs. Like the one throwing a young, female Congressional candidate to the ground.

I have watched some of these "debates." Agree 100% with this assessment. (As mentioned before, I spent too much of my high-school time on [successful] debate teams. That pursuit has its quirks and flaws—but miles better than what was being served up here.)

This is an agent of the US federal government, armed for live-fire combat against a modern army, slamming a passive and nonviolent female candidate for the US Congress into asphalt. Then walking away without checking if she has injuries, with his identity concealed behind a black facemask.

Worth remembering: both WSJ, after Trump sued for $10bn over (true) Epstein stories, and NYT, after Trump sued for $15bn over (true) corruption reports, have stood up strong. Facts and law on their side. Beyond that, they're not "obeying in advance." Sure, gripes. But their example matters.

This is Hollywood's McCarthy Moment. This is the litmus test. Learn from history. Who will step up and fight? Who will bend the knee and be complicit? History will remember.
