I’ve recently worked with Jess O’Thomson & they are doing a great job in very difficult circumstances & don’t deserve this. We’re VERY lucky to have them on our side. So I want to echo these sentiments & similar ones expressed on here. I’m appalled at some people’s behaviour. Stop it & stay stopped.

What's up with the 3 Lib Dems signing EDM 240 and then withdrawing their signatures?

This is the thing that's been getting me re: the judge's remarks. "Criminals are known to lie and fake injuries, so police are justified in ignoring a slurring guy who clearly can't sit upright's claim that he was stabbed, just because he's considered a suspect" is vile

Fuck the judge finding no fault with the officers here and the general establishment acceptance of the idea it's more important to lock people up than care for their safety. The police are not a useful service in the face of incidents like this because this is how they operate.

Just seen the Nowak footage, police arrive finding him face down behind a car, he immediately and repeatedly tells them he's been stabbed. He's not and hasn't been threatening them in any way from the point they arrive and appears to very obviously be in medical distress.

Adolescents & parents have not slept, some have literally thrown up in stress at waiting for letters of judgement they were told would arrive today. Post arrived with no letters. Just now, ICB emails families to say letters haven't been sent - another delay - no details, no new timeline. Cruel.

Just because your court says your sex is what was written on your birth cert and nothing more doesn't mean it's true. Just because they say trans women are male also doesn't mean it's true. In fact it's utter bullshit! Don't accept that! Just because a lie is legal doesn't make it fact.

It's not democratically elected or accountable. But, as another commentator has pointed out, the Government can overrule the Supreme Court. So I think the right response is to publicly observe the SC's actions - the conflation of its law with justice is dangerous - and ask the Government to fix.
