I am getting ready to observe the Darlington Council meeting where the transphobic motion is being heard. Updates to come.

Looks like Reform are trying the same thing in Darlington as they did in Bassetlaw. The motions are almost identical! If you live locally, please show up in support of the trans community - tomorrow at 6pm!

Our statement on the outcome of the BDC Extraordinary Meeting on 3 February. The support that we received yesterday was overwhelming. If that shows us anything, it is that trans people belong in Bassetlaw and that our community is stronger when we stand together against discrimination 🏳️‍⚧️

The Bassetlaw District Council meeting, convened to debate Reform's anti-trans motion, will be starting shortly. We'll try to share updates and info here about what is happening throughout the meeting.

Doors won't open until 6pm, but we expect people to start queuing from 5:15pm, due to limited seating.

This petition closes tonight and we are JUST shy of 700 signatures. If you haven't signed, please do, just to show that people don't buy in to Reform's game of minority scapegoat roulette.

This motion is a transphobic dog whistle. If Reform really cared about women's rights, they'd be calling for investment into services, and action on misogyny. This diverts attention away from the real issues that impact women. Please sign and show solidarity with our trans siblings.

Please sign the petition. There is a real risk that, instead of rejecting the motion, the Bassetlaw District Council will amend the motion to water it down. This is not acceptable. A partial trans ban is still a trans ban. We need to stand up unequivocally for the trans community in Bassetlaw.

This motion is trying to paint trans women using toilets as an urgent threat to public safety 🙄 It's a toxic, fabricated panic aimed at one of our youngest local demographics. We need to stand against it.
