is it time to bust out my "bigfoot is bears" photo collection again? if your mental image of a bear is a thick-furred, fat glossy male bear in autumn, you're probably not prepared for how weird their proportions can look in spring, or when walking upright, like they frequently do.

You cannot stop thinking when an identity is presented to you as an argument. You have to actually engage with the argument on its own terms. Someone's marginality makes their perspective rarer and often neglected. It doesn't make it true by default, or even *progressive* by default.

So I own a cursed portrait of a character of mine I commissioned years back. The character's fat. Turns out this artist can't draw fat folks, so it looked wonky. I paid and tipped anyway. Whatever. BUT it gives me 2d4 psychic damage whenever I run into it in my art folder, which is hilarious.
