One thing that seems like it would be potentially valuable right now is for some kind of private/academic consortium to try to compile and release data about the state of the economy, since it seems like official stats are almost certainly going to be either nonexistent or wildly unreliable.

Finally -- the end of a long day's work, in the Hay Harvest. To say nothing of the veggies & fruit! Fabulous seasonal landscape by the great Pieter Bruegel, who (alas!) died on this day in 1569.

Died (alas and alack, too young!) on this day in 1569, in Brussels, the incomparably wise, witty, & plain brilliant Pieter Bruegel. Here in 1565, being skeptical about mental capacity of art buyers.

A 0.31% move in USDJPY is not "plummeted". It's a 0.6 std dev move and is only barely in the bottom quarter of daily moves over the past 2 years. Similar-sized moves in equity index futures, equity index volatility futures, and rates. Markets are shrugging at Trump's attempt to remove Cook.
