This is an incredibly important thread. Other lawyerly folks I know have been saying similar (and sometimes even more horrifying) things. This is straight-up war crime territory, and it’s happening all around the USA. It will come for you if you allow it to continue. Burn ICE to the ground.

I second this recommendation. Talk about draw downs and “small footprint” are rearranging deck chairs. The larger project continues. We are in the middle of a massive destruction of lives and systems that support decency, democracy, and freedom.

ICE agents knocked on Wilmer Andrade’s door claiming a warrant for his arrest. He has a work permit, a pending visa application and no final order of removal. In Operation Metro Surge, people like him are targets.

Every time my city council member posts literally anything, I want to scream at higher up politicians- "HE'S ACTUALLY DOING SOMETHING!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?!" He's on the ground every day keeping his ward safe. All other politicians should be taking notes. The bar is extremely high now. Do better.
