Indie writing is rich on talent. So many exciting things coming from small presses & being self-published. But as far as sales, I don’t know that it’s been worse. Less people talking about indie books, less exposure, more writers moving out of the indie space, less opportunities for new writers.

It's dire when you try to help authors find where to submit excellent manuscripts, and there's just hardly anything. Not even talking about the chances of acceptance; just anywhere to even *try* that's all of: the right genre, open, open to unagented, decent, and safe. Everyone's closed.
