I'm pretty sure the CJEU in Russmedia just casually dismantled 80% of the DSA with one ill-considered judgment. As I read it, it substitutes in GDPR rules -- not notice and takedown rules -- for any platform where a user is likely to post content about people. 1/

My main takeaway from the Cox v. Sony arguments so far is that in any case in which specialized knowledge of a field is essential (copyright is one) hiring a Supreme Court litigator to do your argument is a mistake, full stop.

i think it's useful to look at areas where the *tech* has gotten much better while tech *interactions* have gotten way worse. streaming has gotten worse, google search has gotten worse, digital cameras are leaps better. apple's silicone is so good it's threatening their user upgrade cycle

The United States is a country of laws. It is not a dictatorship. Congress determines immigration under our Constitution. Congress explicitly, specifically barred the President from banning entire nationalities from immigrating.

Regular reminder for folks reporting on federal courts that there are two different Judges Ho (Dale / SDNY, James / 5th Cir), with two different judicial philosophies. Remember it this way: When your Judge Ho is Dale, your claims might not fail. When your Judge Ho is Jim, your chances are grim.
