Wow for all the drama Minute Clinic staff gave me about “well we can’t guarantee insurance will cover shots for kids” blah blah, both my kids’ covid shots were 100% covered (we have Healthpartners)

I’ve been waiting for the 63 for 30 minutes sooo not great for high frequency. Which of these eastbound buses will get to me first? On the bright side, standing at this bus stop so long has prevented at least three people from parking here 🤷🏻‍♀️

So far in my #WeekWithoutDriving, I took the light rail to and from the State Capitol for a climate meeting and walked to a thrift store with my son and his friend. Had we driven, we would have missed a lemonade stand and a sign for a missing cat - Pumpkin Meow Meow. Keep your eyes peeled, STP!

So it's a Week Without Driving. If you do drive, you should take this seriously because at some point, you're not gonna be able to--permanently or temporarily. So try it out now, learn to take the bus, plan a trip by bike or walking. Don't wait til the choice isn't yours.

Among many many other problems with this, denying service to anyone who is not a driver is ableist. We're sure this is not the intention or desire of this bank but is yet another example of the ways that autonormativity harms our communities.

The Blue Line's outage is a stark reminder of the efficiency of rail transit. Just to provide a basic replacement service, Metro Transit has had 25-30 replacement buses out at a time, more than double the usual number of trains on the line, and the end-to-end trip time is also double!

Just rode it 🐌 97 minutes from when the wheels started moving at MOA until they stopped at the Target field stop, about 80 of which it took to get to Cedar Riverside I hope metro transit can put together a more efficient solution before the extended shutdown next summer

Not noted: this also means the Green Line westbound ends at US Bank Stadium. So when the next one arrives for me—18 minutes from when I got to the stop—I’ll also have an extra walk at the other end. Sigh

Los Angeles' A Line light rail has been extended today further to the east, with the extension running from Azusa to Pomona, with stops in Glendora, San Dimas, & La Verne. The A line, from Long Beach to Pomona, is 57.6 miles long, the longest light rail line in the world, with a 2h11 trip time.

Belugas have landed in the land of 10,000 lakes! The first of 73 new buses have entered service. Many features associated with the BRT buses, including the fat bike racks, Stop Request tape, USB and C-chargers, and vinyl seat inserts. The Stop Request signs scroll slower and have a different font.
