I introduced a MLM scheme into my Daggerheart campaign last evening with an NPC named Do’Terra Amway. One player bought into the scheme and I can’t wait for more shenanigans from Do’Terra. (shoutout to @dimension20.bsky.social for the idea)

I love planning a TTRPG session where I have little idea of what the party will do. I’ve learned to “hold on gently” to my ideas as a GM (thanks Daggerheart for that phrasing) and simply follow where they want to go. I may have a loose outline to fall back on, but nothing is sacred.

Started Dave the Diver since it hit Xbox and it’s really nice to play a bright indie game. Been a good year for colorful palettes in games (yes, I know Dave the Diver was released in 2023).

I had my first character death in Daggerheart this week and it went down as the best session I’ve ever run as a GM. The simiah ranger sacrificed herself to a giant mech hybrid in a blaze of glory, heroically saving the party from imminent doom. It was truly epic.

Had a great time playing Daggerheart as a player in our current campaign that I typically GM. One of the players wanted to run a session or two and I love that it works so well for people to run sessions with zero issue to the narrative.

The new Steam controller having in line joysticks makes me realize that a lot of PC gamers don’t use a controller.

We are kicking off our larger Daggerheart campaign and we are digging into worldbuilding as a group. With the number of options out there, what’s your favorite way to organize and share your world with players? I’d like a digital option since I’d like us to all have the ability to view it whenever.

While my wife has been playing through Fallout 4, I’ve been doing my first full run of New Vegas. I now understand the hype around the story and wish there was a way to meld the QOL changes that comes with FO4 to the choice driven narrative of FNV. New Vegas has skyrocketed into a top 10 game for me

My wife helped the Minutemen last night and faced a mighty Mirelurk Queen. There were many casualties and she wanted to clean up the base, which led to her dumping their naked bodies in the Boston Harbor. #fallout4

My wife gave Nick Valentine a mini gun and every Molotov and grenade in her inventory. She had no idea what was about to happen (absolute chaos as a single radroach attacks). #fallout

Our group played Daggerheart for the first time last night and it was an absolute joy. If you’re not sure about the system, I recommend trying out the QuickStart adventure and seeing how it works. I’m happy to answer any questions based on our experience!
