Yesterday I saw signs and flowers at the flagpole in the middle of town. I couldn't read the signs so I thought maybe someone died in a crash at the intersection. Today I was able to read the signs while stopped at the light. A memorial for fucking Charlie Kirk. 🙄

I saw 4 cyber trucks on my trip, including 2 with Canadian plates. One was matte green, another was black. One had a "baby on board" sign. One I saw in Washington had Georgia plates and I was like whaaaaa and then I saw it was Cobb County. Well some things never change.

The second and final day of the Chinook Jargon Gathering was also great. Afterwards, we went out to dinner and the linguists got drunk and started fighting: "We never should have started using 'orange.' It's just light brown."

Also the iced tea remains lemon flavored in British Columbia.

I visited the Museum of Surrey today. It was really lovely. I was touched: they had a rack of portable folding stools you could take through the exhibition hall.
