Say what you want about film remakes but even if a remake is bad, I always feel inclined to check out the original to see why it warranted a remake in the first place. Often I end up enjoying two films; sometimes cos they are similar and I enjoy the story, sometimes cos they are so different.

When someone seems off-put by me, sometimes I tell them I’m neurodivergent, and then see them instantly understand and become comfortable. But my behavior hasn’t changed. They just accept it. I don’t understand why they can’t just be accepting in the first place.

This year, I've decided to consume media that I already own over anything from subscription services. I can't afford 10+ different subscriptions, so I no longer pay for any of them. Instead, I have plenty of DVD box sets, books, CDs, and more that I can enjoy.
