The proposed EHRC Code of Practice is unfit for purpose and places trans people at serious risk of violence and discrimination. It is vital that guidance protects the rights of all people to live their lives with peace, privacy, and dignity.

I have written to the Prime Minister and Bridget Phillipson, calling for the cruel and confusing EHRC Code of Practice to be rejected. Legislative action must be taken to create an equalities framework that protects trans people’s safety, dignity and humanity.

The transphobic EHRC “guidance” is the responsibility of the government. Every government MP will be personally responsible for every assault on a trans person (or a cis person who mistaken for a trans person) after July 10th, for using facilities they currently use unproblematically.
