Note that Norway's Gender Clinic, and this study was a major influence on the Cass Report. Cass was directly influenced by SEGM members, several of whom sat on the Cass governance group. This leads to further serious questions on teh ethical validity and integrity of Cass.

Cass today is very clearly stating that the puberty blocker trial purpose is to enable longer and more intense conversion therapy. Under the current criminalised healthcare landscape of the UK, the puberty blocker trial is the best hope many trans young people have of endocrine care. 1/4

Without the trial there is no such mechanism to enable such active control and coercion of young people. Without the trial there is no consequence for a young person who tells their therapist to get lost or who refuses to attend conversion therapy. The trial is a tool of conversion and control
