We have contacted the Women and Equalities Committee, the Joint Human Rights Committee, and the Minister for Women and Equalities, Bridget Phillipson, to bring to their attention our complaint to the EHRC regarding the conduct of the anti-rights group Sex Matters.

It’s true my GP has, after 44 years taking estrogens and been prescribed them from this surgery for the last 4 years, has referred me back to the gender clinic ‘because they have no expertise in prescribing these hormones’ I was signed off from the gender clinic in 1990.

Trans healthcare needs to be led by trans people, to be accountable to trans communities and trans youth. Folks who don't believe in the existence of a trans child cannot continue to hold the reins of healthcare policy and governance. This is where we start.

The whole thing is not about healthcare evidence. It is a exercise in power over trans youth (and trans communities). They are demonstrating their power. And asserting their power to squash trans youth.

The vast majority of trans youth, in past clinical studies, had blockers first, and then HRT. This stepped path was mandatory in the UK. It was literally not possible to go straight to HRT under the age of 18.

Yesterday the NHS banned all under 18 prescriptions of HRT for trans young people. This ban was justified by 10 new studies that largely stated NO EVIDENCE for under 18s HRT exists. The study underpinning this played one particular trick. Let's briefly look at how the NHS rigged the game 1/5

1/🧵 I am reviewing NHS England’s “evidence” papers supporting their ban of GHAT for 16- and 17-year-olds. It’s hard not to see this as a deliberate and malicious attempt to manipulate the evidence base. Most notably, the scope is restricted to monotherapy or GnRH analogues.

We're talking policies on trans medicine written by health care regulators who spend their personal time trolling trans people online and being openly abusive and antagonistic. Total capture of the senior level of a minority's support infrastructure by a handful of cranks who hate that minority.

They are not 'transphobic', we are told. They don't hate trans people. They simply feel deeply 'concerned' about children being 'trans', & therefore, need to put 'sensible' people in charge of trans children's healthcare, people who, for example, don't believe in the existence of trans children.
