Every cyclist in the city should be at tonight's 6 pm rally against NYPD's policy of criminalizing minor traffic infractions — because you could be the next victim of police overreach or lethal force.

Congestion relief works – the data proves it. The city’s leaders should stand with working New Yorkers and stand up to Washington. We can’t let out-of-touch politicians roll back the progress we’ve made.

This is a great article that lays out some of the solutions to reducing deaths and serious injuries. Part of the solution: just reducing driving overall. I'm excited to share more soon about the work we're doing at

When I was growing up autistic kids were "hyper" or "had water on the brain" and there was always a raft of "weird kids" who were socially ostracized because they had a hard time people-ing. If you don't think autism existed before it was commonly called "autism," it's because you chose not to see.

Sidewalk congestion from sidewalk cafes is real. Here’s a solution: make roadway dining easier and widen sidewalks. Restaurants can flourish and people can walk - that’s much better than parking!

Breast cancer diagnoses rose by over 300% between 1973 and 1992. Was there a breast cancer epidemic?! NO. Mammograms were implemented for screening in 1976. PREVALENCE is a function of being able to correctly diagnose something. This is also about autism.

I don't really care what the "political consequences" are of fighting for the proposition that *everyone* is entitled to due process before they are removed from the United States and sent to a Salvadoran prison. It's not really a principle if you only adhere to it when it's politically expedient.

"The left went too far" in contemporary U.S. politics is almost always a lie and a very convenient way to rationalize moral failure. For example, "MeToo went too far" replaces "I do not care about sexual violence or its victims and I don't want to have to even feel bad about that"
