This is exactly what we need. This is it. "New York City Council member Chi Ossé, a close ally of Zohran Mamdani, is privately discussing a run against House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.)"
loading . . .
Scoop: Mamdani ally weighs challenging Hakeem Jeffries
Just talking about a potential campaign could drive a further wedge between Mamdani â the democratic socialist in line to be New York's next mayor â and Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.)

This is my favorite/least favorite line of community bullshit. You're not entitled to an engraved invitation to every meeting, and every CB has a public calendar. You want to know when the meetings are? Use your lazy ass to do some research.

From the Court Street bike lane opponents' Facebook group. Just so people know which side they're on. Funny how it almost always lines up this way.

I don't think this is an unpopular opinion. The issue is around Class 3 e-bikes, and the terminology bleed that causes a lot of people to conflate electric mopeds with e-bikes. Expecting enforcement officers to know this nuance is also a lost cause right now.

Sounds like the exit row is why this flight was diverted over $150. As Kashmir says later in the thread, if he had moved to business class, they could've deal with it on landing. What an absurd situation.

Still waiting for a more efficient explanation of everything than "Everyone got brain damage from Covid": the airline executives charging a $155 predatory premium for legroom, the guy deciding to customize his own flight experience, the chain of command aborting the whole flightâbusted mind-traffic!

It is scandalous that every big NYPD chief happens to be "disabled" when they retire. "Tax free 3/4 of his salery life time benefits... because of an ankle injury he received on Randall's Island while on duty last year." Bullshit. This is corruption.

The best way for our next mayor to create affordable homes is to vote

Next year will bring a new mayoral administration, and itâs time to think big about improving our streetscape. The

plan for Bus Rapid Transit is exactly the kind of visionary stake in the ground we need. BRT saves time, and time is money in New Yorkersâ pockets.

Thatâs not what he said. He said the money for Essential Air Service routes will run out but that has absolutely nothing to do with ATC. What will happen is after that first paycheck is missed, and this applies to ALL federal workers, the mental toll of financial uncertainty becomes a huge problem.

Recorded a 50 minute timelapse of the new Flatbush Ave center running bus lanes this first rush hour, as DOT crews are still installing signage and stuff. So far, it works! Drivers generally obey it and buses are clearly sped up. And donât miss that ambulance bypassing traffic at the 6 second mark!

They did the Times Square build-out, which should be a model for the rest of Broadway, and then just gave up entirely! Paint and giant concrete blocks, which eat into the pedestrian space.

This seems incredibly poorly planned and communicated. I'm hoping there is a ton of excess time in there, but simply dropping on a Wednesday that "Oh, by the way, you can't add money to an OMNY card this weekend" is a hell of a way to run a service.
