Finally turning to my next piece. Probably won't get it out till mid-August cause of all the other stuff I have going on simultaneously. I don't think people have really internalized how much non-defense discretionary has fallen in recent years. This has most of our long-term investment funding.

Itās wild seeing this that there is not one true Bus Rapid Transit line up and running in New Jersey. Failure of planning, leadership that hopefully will change soon, starting in Hudson County:

Already 9 traffic deaths in the City of Newark this year, 7 of them pedestrians. Newark really needs an advocacy group for safer streets. The hit-and-run driver is a monster, but it's also a systems issue. What mayor and council in Newark are getting away with is extremely unacceptable.

In the late 80s, my parents, my three siblings and I drove from Dorset to Scotland for a two week camping holiday in an Austin Maestro. Part of the fun of it was seeing how cleverly we could pack everything into a tiny space. We had a great holiday.

Sorry, but closing a rail line for TEN MONTHS just to upgrade four stations is completely insane.

Even more so considering this same line was closed for months during recent signaling upgrades. What are we doing here.

Blanche v. Lau is devastating for green card holders. It means that if they leave the U.S. then return, a border officer can claim they committed a crime at some point, revoke their lawful status, and confiscate their green card without meaningful evidence of wrongdoing. It's really, really bad.
