On Memorial Day, we honor the service members who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation. I’m honored to commemorate this solemn day on board the Intrepid, an aircraft carrier that brought thousands of Americans on their way to protect us and our allies for over 30 years.

Tonight, through Saturday, members of our Jewish community across the five boroughs will gather among their family and friends for Shavuot. Whether it’s with blintzes, cheesecake, or all-night Torah study, I want to wish all New Yorkers who are celebrating a Chag Sameach!

Today the NYC Council passed legislation to help NYC prepare for the millions of visitors the World Cup will bring by: ✅ Expanding access to public bathrooms ✅ Creating a digital map to spotlight small businesses ✅ Developing a cultural passport to connect visitors with neighborhoods across NYC

Last night, I spoke at the Girl Scouts Gala where the Gold Award was given to outstanding individuals. There are over 20,000 Girl Scouts across New York City, and the Girl Scouts are shaping the next generation of leaders. They also have delicious cookies. My favorite? Thin Mints.

What an honor to be inducted into the Manhattan Jewish Historical Initiative's Hall of Fame last night. At a moment when Jewish New Yorkers are facing ever-increasing threats, being recognized for my advocacy and contributions to this city means more than I can say.

New York City sends billions more to Albany than we get back. That must change. In our April 1st budget response, the Council identified billions in savings, protected services, and put forward proposals to generate revenue from the highest earners.
