Trump’s speech lying about elections and pushing old conspiracy theories that are weak by even conspiracy theory standards shows how: By democracy standards, the US is in bad shape. We’ve fallen so far. By consolidated authoritarianism standards, things don’t look so bad. This guy doesn’t have it.

Personally, I would prefer to see forecasts not use prediction markets. I think the point of a model is to synthesize cold, hard data, unpolluted by conventional wisdom. Using markets can also create a feedback loop, since many gamblers are using forecasts to place their bets.
