24 hours ago, it looked like the Utah GOP was complying with a court order to create a competitive district grounded in Salt Lake. But the gamesmanship may have been just around the corner with this new bill GOP unveiled.

Incredible bummer about Bluestockings. The lack of space in Lower Manhattan has devastated organizing and just plain old community for decades. Activism often requires impromptu convenings and is facilitated by serendipitous encounters. We need places where we can get into each others' orbits.

Designating Antifa as a “domestic terrorist organization” is legally meaningless. But ominous. Designating narcos as “terrorists organizations” didn’t authorize use of force, but nonetheless paved the way for lethal strikes in the Caribbean on “terrorists.”

One reason I do not think Trump is going to create a 1,000 year reich is because he failed to cancel a middling funnyman and immediately pivoted to trying to outlaw not having a headache.

Well, there it is. Sinclair is digging in for a fight, so please help push back -- find stations in your area, watch their local news to see what ads they run, then write those advertisers to tell them you're boycotting as long as they're on a Sinclair station. List here:

New from me: Last week I noticed a feature on TikTok that used AI to scan videos and identify products. It turns out the feature is being applied even to videos from Gaza. In one, a mother cries out for her family. TikTok tagged dresses, head coverings, and handbags.

It's important that they employ countless thousands of H1B workers and want to make sure those workers can never organize, and have no political or social power. It's important to say that they want more trans kids to die — even the VCs who have trans kids of their own. These aren't minor points!

The entire “Americans want pro corporate liberal centrism” project has failed, and an entire industry that runs on pretending otherwise is panicking. It isn’t just that they don’t want to move the party to the left; they don’t understand HOW to. They’ve literally never thought about it.

An interesting thing about the Hague Invasion Act is that the President of the United States doesn't *have to* enforce it to protect war criminals from a prior administration any more than it has to prioritize enforcement of any other law.

One thing I remember deeply during the 2nd GWB administration/leading into Obama's 1st term was a growing consensus that terrorism is just basic crime. Murder, extortion, etc. It's stopped by law enforcement, not military. And then that got thrown out the window around 2011.
