What I think: Trump imposed tariffs. Companies passed those costs to us, so we paid the tariffs. Trump stole the money we paid in tariffs. SCOTUS overturns the tariffs. Companies demand refunds. The tariff money is gone. Taxpayers will pay for the refunds to the companies.

This tariff ruling is causing considerable confusion. But one thing is clear. 100% of any tariff refunds will be paid to corporations that passed on increased costs to consumers. We paid the tariffs. They will get the refund. Prices won't come back down. The people will get screwed yet again.

Did the early voting thing in my state's primary today. Chose the progressive candidate when that was an option. No, I don't think we're gonna solve this mess solely through voting but given that I'm the kind of person they want to disenfranchise, it felt a nice piece of spite to vote while I can.

If our current corrupt Supreme Court Justices had been around in 1776 writing America's constitution, they would have established a hereditary monarchy and today we'd think it normal to be ruled by a king with absolute immunity who'd routinely deploy armed troops in our streets to oppress us.
