Reporting here confirming that Anoka and Scott County are actively working with ICE handing people over. That may seem far away because we’re Hennepin county, but you have to remember Anoka county directly borders Minneapolis with Columbia Heights.

Every time people cite construction as a reason for small businesses closing in Uptown, I think about how the Minneapolis City Council funded a $900,000 construction hardship program that Mayor Frey did not implement. This would have been support for small businesses in Uptown.

This is a good article. When you're depressed, every obstacle seems enormous. Not having enough money, not having enough food, not having access to affordable healthcare, & having to deal with means testing bullshit all makes it harder to stay in the world. People need real world support.

After a trough of relatively less activity, that is fewer people calling me for help, I'm back up to 10 active habeas cases. I do not want to cause anyone undue alarm, but ICE has changed tactics and seems more likely to detain people when they go in for routine appointments with ICE.
