I would change many things about traffic violence reporting, but a simple, impactful thing would be including contextual and historical info about crash sites. Are there crosswalks? Have there been prior crashes? This would help change the perception that crashes are unavoidable, isolated incidents.

This plus the finacialization of real estate that has made commercial rent far too expensive for small businesses to afford. An empty storefront with an imaginary rent is a valuable asset, lower the rent to a price someone can afford and you devalue the asset, so investors prefer empty spaces.
