Private prisons can't make money wihtout incarcerating more people for longer sentences. This is morally wrong. One of Biden's first EOs was a ban on private prisons (the EO is no longer visible on the WH website, unf). Congress had a bill to begin phasing them out. Elect Dems and it will happen.

Privatized prisons should be banned. The existence of this entire industry is a moral stain. You should NEVER profit from human misery. I support any effort to divest from GEO Group, CoreCivic and others who profit from oppression and cruelty.
