I Don't Know How To Explain To You That You Should Care About Other People

You do see how messed up this is, right? This has been normalized but there is nothing normal about blaming yourself. Some of it is religious indoctrination, but a lot of it is learned behavior. Time to unlearn it.

I absolutely hate when people say: "I'm so blessed". If someone is blessed what does that mean for the rest of us? That we are not "worthy" and are undeserving? What a weird way of looking at life, that some are blessed and some are not and it is through some outside agency.

There were many warnings about how hard it would be to stop this once he got in office.

A recent local bond for increased funding for fire and ambulance failed. Now services are being cut. There have been many variations of this story, on the local, state, and federal level. It all comes down to priorities, yet the public has little say in setting those,

Not quite. Running for office to be a public servant in our current times requires being politic. He is a highly skilled politician or organizer if you prefer. He showed that you can use the system and achieve a very different result, especially if your intentions and goals are to serve.

What we require is a legal framework that serves as the foundation for a truly equitable international community—one that enforces cooperation over competition, shared development over extraction, and the rights of all people over the privileges of a few.

Instead we are bringing back diseases that had been eradicated thanks to vaccines.

If you don't count it, then it's not there. That's how it works, right?

They identify the problem but offer the wrong solution. Data centers should be required to have their own powers sources and bee off the grid. Even w/o data centers, utility companies have not been well managed. They are completely unprepared for extreme weather events let alone meeting the demand.

Why is it easier for some to think that they are false accusations rather than that they are true?

So often it is the little things that make a difference in our lives.

This is why AI can never be artists. AI can not express hope.

Sports is the new religion. If you don't think so, look at how important sports is to people. Look at how they act when *their* team wins or loses. When YOUR identity is tied into a sports team, that you follow because they are based in your city or country, it might be time for some reflection.

When some indicates that religion or patriotism guides their perspective, I know I'm not dealing with someone who thinks for themselves. If you did, it wouldn't take you towards either of those. Ideas are wonderful to explore, but both those ideologies are closed loops with considerable overlap.

Every civilization was built around water. None survived without it.

A lot of how much you can take depends on how much you experience and of course what resources you have. It is not always one big thing. A lot of it cumulative.

There is a huge disconnect.
