Just learned through LinkedIn that UNL is also recommending eliminating their department of statistics. I have many friends who went through UNL’s math/stats PhD programs - they’re successful, supportive and inclusive departments. What a huge loss - what will be left of UNL? 💔

if someone quotes Leviticus saying gay people should be stoned to death, and calls that "God's perfect law," it's accurate to say they called for gay people to be stoned to death. Likewise, it's inaccurate to say they never called for it. bc I can parse language and understand how humans communicate
