We raised our daughter in NYC. Over the years, her friends spoke English, French, Haitian Creole, Spanish, German, Javanese, Japanese, Korean, Hindi, Farsi, Hebrew, Klingon (basic), Latin (high achievers) & Ancient Greek (off the charts). A mayor who speaks Arabic in a commercial does not faze me.

In my last act as a Manhattan resident, I voted. For mayor: Zohran Mamdani. For Manhattan DA: Diana Florence I have known Diana since grade school. She served 25+ years in the DA’s office, creating the bureau for constriction criminals & wage theft. My daughter is working for the campaign.

Today NYC Marathon day, which the “most New York” day of the year (to me). I ran & finished in 2014 & 2018. As a participant, a part of a support team, a fan in person and a fan from a distance, the spirit of New York is transcendent on this day. Dozens of neighborhoods, one love.
