For the past year,

Take the time to read this whole thread. This is the final evolution of billionaire brain. Willfully destroying your own brand's reputation and stock value for the sake of based memes. This would have happened to Elon Musk a hundred times over by now if the U.S. still had any shared cultural values.

But more, Pichai is reducing criticisms of gAI to an emotional register of "fear" of change quite intentionally. He and other AIbros are rational, superior, and calm (and masculinized), while those who are critical of gAI are feminized, irrational, do not "understand," and are anxious.

Search engines are failing me. Iām trying to find an article about the carbon emissions tree farm that caught fire in Canada back in 2022 I believe - the one that contributed to the bad air on NYC. Does anyone recall this or know a search term so I can find reporting on it? Thanks!

Also, what happens to users when companies fail or abandon the backend part of the tech? This constantly happens to people with medical devices made by techbros (or they guide someone into harms way). It's yet another reason why healthcare and for profit at any human cost are bad for everyone.

I am not being hyperbolic. Our insistence on segregating our histories, in encapsulating the struggle for voting/civil rights as a Black struggle and not an American one, has helped bring us to this moment. We did not have representative democracy until 1965. W/o the VRA, it is unlikely to survive.

Every single time the media asks what voters think, it always turns out the voters have wildly incoherent, nonsensical, absolutely delusional beliefs. The story isn't that the voters are cartoonishly fucking ignorant, it's that the same media asking them, is the media that produced these beliefs.
