This whole ICE nonsense quota based racist policing is so useful for illustrating so many Black civil rights concepts that people have been confused about for decades. People used to ask me, "Why do Black folk cheer when they see a man successfully run from the cops? He's a criminal!"𤔠No.

The scientific method took a long time to take hold because itās upside down from how we primates are wired to come to consensus about stuff that was important to our primate predecessors. Weāre wired to ask āwhy is the bigger, confident primate right?ā Science asks āhow might I be proven wrong?ā

Look, they do not have the capacity or competence to do this at the scale they want you to fear they do, and your fear is precisely their greatest force multiplier. Everybody who is cowed into silence by their threats allows them a smaller pool to focus on.

It might be smarter to declare war on an American city that isn't literally characterized by how much the people who live there make their entire personalities about how much they love it. Have you even seen my timeline? We've basically been training for this for years.

Sure is getting pretty genocidal out there. Y'all need to understand that "rounding up" ANY group leads to more of the same. We do need everyone to speak up on this, and hold the line to support our trans neighbors.

I commuted to high school on the subway. I had maybe 5 issues in all that time and 100% of them were adult men (of all demographics) being perverts. This was not a subway problem, it was a misogyny problemāand I never had to deal with it alone once because another woman always stepped in to help.

Last week I participated in a town wide evacuation drill in Stinson Beach. I walked down the hill with my go bag. I was told twice that I should have brought my car, and that if I get stuck in a traffic jam, I should just sit there in my car. I beat the entire line of traffic to the staging area.

Or maybe fast+cheap deliveries are a feature of cities with great urban design, and attempting to bring that level of convenience to low-density car dependent neighborhood requires massive subsidies.

There are only two paths forward for America: fascism for all of us, or fascism for none of us. Some of you are deluding yourselves into believing that the US can ever return to a state of "Fascism, but just for Black dudes! š¤£" AKA centrism. But that will not happen. The spell is broken.
