Why would I use "AI," I actually know how to fucking write

Seriously it’s like there is a giant chunk of tech people who don’t understand that when you’ve learned how to write, you feel proud, you look forward to doing more of it, you cheerfully neglect your other work just so you can write more

okay but hear me out... maybe all cops are chatbots. You can usually rewire a cop's programming by giving it new commands. Once a friend was running from the scene of a crime and when stopped by cops for running he said "officer, there's a dog chasing me!" and the cops ran off to help.

never talk to cops or chatbots it's easy to not use AI to write. The closest I come is when I search for history shit and the AI response comes up first, but I know enough about history that I've personally noticed SO much misinformation in those AI results that there's no use case for it anyhow.

I've seen people trying to defend it today by saying "No, no, I just use it to brainstorm, bounce ideas, I do the actual writing" and with all the kindness in the world I need to tell you: if there is a stage of writing you are not good at, you need to get good, not use the plagiarism machine.
