Today I feel I officially became a Minnesotan: rode my thin tire bike on a snowy 12 degree day to meet up with an admin of a hyper local mutual aid group.

Community is running outside when you hear whistles

Walking through minneapolis is surreal. Stern faces Minnesotans standing on street corners eyeing any large vehicle with suspicion, speaking in hushed tones to those they pass “what is going on in this country”

It is difficult to fully convey to an outsider how much it feels like we are in a state of war in Minneapolis right now, except one side is attacking and killing people and the other side is asking to please just be allowed to live in peace.

Not an exaggeration at all to say that the feeling in Minneapolis is that the entire metro area is being treated as occupied territory by federal agents. Impossible to overstate how overwhelmingly people here do not like it. This does not feel sustainable.
