The Speaker of the House has firm views that Bad Bunny is a terrible pick for singing at the Super Bowl, but hasn't had time to watch the President's speech to our military leadership or form an opinion whether furloughed federal workers should be paid or Illinois' governor should be thrown in jail.

Trump and the USA canāt be sued for defaming Tylenol, Iād be love to see the discussions at Fox News/Newmax about how they are going to stop one of their anchors from exposing them to a Tucker2.0. Fox seems to just not be covering this at all but who knows if thatās going to float long term

Weāre frogs in the pot about this, I think. Weāre so hardened to eliminationist, fascist rhetoric from the right that it hardly makes a dent when a prominent host on a major network suggests exterminating a large group of people. But he did. And nobody on modern Right gives a shit.

It is amazing that most organizations (businesses, media, NGOs, political parties) that worried about the threat of the far right for decades have spent no time or energy to thinking how to operate in a far right world. They just continue to do the same and are surprised by a different outcome.

The fact that the thing we're calling artificial intelligence *can't do math* and yet we're jamming it into programs that successfully *have done math* for decades, then warning people against using the AI to do math, seems like an excellent summary of where we are.

BDA is hard and uncertain. Normally, I would expect the USG to overestimate BDA (as it did against Yugoslavia in 1999) for totally forgivable reasons like -- "Well, we hit the target and the calculation says that "should have resulted in x damage." But they seem appropriately cautious.
