From 2008-2018 the video games industry existed for financial interests to incubate what they wanted to become the new economy. Gambling on everything, addiction by design, mediated social spaces, even massive GPU production. They don't need games anymore so they left games behind, wounded.

NEW VIDEO! Super timely bumper video on my favourite games of 2025. Only one of the games in the thumbnail makes the main list. A lot of talk of living a good life. I sincerely hope you enjoy hearing my thoughts. If you do, sharing it with others would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If this story is accurate, then all those stories about Keir Starmer meticulously selecting only the highest-quality candidates in 2024 were horseshit and, in reality, we are now governed by a crop of MPs personally selected by the financially compromised ‘best pal’ of a child sex trafficker.

Calling transphobia a 'gateway drug' to the far right undersells it. It's pure accelerant. Grimly fascinating to guess what crankery becomes any famous transphobe's secondary obsession, cos they all have one: 15 minute cities are fascism! Grok noncing is cool! ICE are good! We should kill all dogs!

Reminding you that Britain was trying to deport people to Rwanda throughout the last year's of the previous administration and set up a floating prison for refugees that lasted 2 years. This American Exceptionalism is weird and when people buy into it our history of our racism is erased.

not only does this show 0% of reform voters switching to labour, it shows 8% of labour voters to reform. it also shows an 11% churn lost to greens. they're hemorrhaging progressive voters faster than they can replace them with right wingers (which is: not at all)

I came to Minneapolis to report on what's going on, and one of the main questions I showed up with is "just what is the scale of the resistance?" After all, we're all used to the news calling Portland a "war zone" or whatever when it's just some protests in one part of town.
