No one talks about why data centers take so much water LLMs run on shower thoughts, and the data centers must keep a stream of steamy water spraying gpus 24/7 Without the showers, LLMs just have regular thoughts like everyone else currently not in the shower, and would have no sellable value

to put this on main feed: 1) this specific data center actually did completely fuck the local water supply during construction 2) that this didn't immediately get them crushed in court and forced to provide everyone with infrastructure for clean water is bad 3) that it's a data center is incidental

LLMs are such an insane learning tool if you use them right holy shit i always sucked at preparing for certification exams etc, but i just did the first mock round of the exam i'm studying with kira's help for and got 96% of the answers right (no LLM was used during the mock exam itself ofc)

OpenAI's claim that this is a central conjecture in discrete geometry is not an exaggeration. This will I think be looked back on as the first time that AI solved a major mathematics problem (defined as a problem that all experts in some subfield had thought about).

MCP: - Has a high token base load due to tool metadata - Can reduce model efficacy because they are not post trained on custom tools (relative to just bash + skills) - Is inflexible and difficult for the agent to adapt to, unlike skills - Mostly superseded by skills in terms of functionality

The talk about AI & politics seems to be oddly missing a segment (a) assumes extremely capable AI is possible soon and (b) has a strong belief about how to use this technology to make human life better according to the political project they believe in. It is a moment of action right now.

Darkly funny that we’re watching the president die in real time and when he inevitably dies, millions of people will swiftly conclude the visibly decaying 80 year-old was killed by a woke CIA Judeo-transgender conspiracy to shrink video game boobs and make Star Wars worse.
