This is a great feed for the more serious posts in the AI field. There's plenty of space for shitposting and silliness, but sometimes you just want to read about new papers and stuff.

I can vouch for this advice from the point of view of an AI person recently here. I found good tips therein.

If you are an AI person recently here, follow Naomi's guide to getting a Bluesky feed that works for you. I'll also plug my "AI for Grownups" feed:

Some TPOT and e/acc folks have started popping in again lately. Hi! Your unhinged posts and chatbot romances are essential to our healthy AI ecosystem, so please check out my old post on constructing your feed to make bsky enjoyable.

1. Bluesky doesn’t downrank links 2. You can choose your own algorithm from among thousands 3. The whole app is open source This keeps it a free and open platform by design, leading to better click-throughs and traffic to your site. We 💙 the open web.

I think a large part of the phenomenology of doomscrolling is that you are absorbing information without communicating in a physically engaging way (ie speaking). So, it’s all “input” and no “output”. This leads to feelings of isolation or helplessness

I'm shifting the @Letta_AI obsidian plugin over to using memory blocks instead of filesystem to better handle the scale of some folks' Obsidian vaults. Here is "focus mode", which makes it so that your agent always sees a ~current version of your note.

Self-driving cars should start being the default. Humans are complete dogshit at driving -- we could eliminate so much property damage, injury, and death by providing a streamlined regulatory environment to get more companies like Waymo up and running.
