This technology that people in school administrations and higher education are demanding everyone get behind because it's "the future" and "we just have to accept it," which is, nfn, the language of abuse.

Bad framing: ACIP voted to scrap the universal hepatitis B vaccine recommendation for newborns. Accurate framing: Anti-vax conspiracy theorists appointed to ACIP by Robert Kennedy Jr., who made a fortune as an anti-vax profiteer, voted to expose babies to a preventable, incurable, deadly illness.

I canāt tell you how glad I am to be released from the disgrace of Temu ACIP. I made a commitment to watch and comment on these proceedings. Not sure Iāll do it again. In summary, ACIP is no longer a legitimate scientific body. Every U.S. state needs to decouple their vaccine policy from ACIP.

I'm intensely bored by the question of whether or not video games can be art. They are. The broader question is whether or not they are *doing* interesting, provocative or layered things as art. Are they exploring? Pushing boundaries? Does games culture want them to be more than Fun Machines?

Prison rape is wrong. Jokes about prison rape are wrong. Eliminating protections against prison rape is wrong. If another country sentenced a criminal to be raped, we'd consider it a crime against humanity. BUT A large segment of Americans regard prison rape as a de facto part of the sentence.

This, among millions of other reasons, is why any attempt to meet transphobes in the middle was always a form of abandoning trans people. Like immigrant demonization, any attempt at all to give any credence to right wing talking points was always just ammunition for the right wing.
