Honestly,the lady ghostbusters movie is the second best ghostbusters movie behind the original. My big issue with it is my issue with most Paul Feig movies: it desperately needed an editor to cut down the improv to just the best jokes and to better draw out its emotional arcs. Buts it’s damn funny.

We found out about the fire when a customer came in, ordered 3 pints of Caffreys, then - as I handed them to him & asked for payment - said 'do you know the roof's on fire?' The roof was thatched. He walked into a burning pub for a Xmas pint. There'll always be an England.

An advantage to being a massive baby is that Xmas has always felt magic to me. It's never lost it. Except the one year when I was 18 & had to work on Xmas Day at the pub doing Xmas lunches & the pub caught fire & the fire brigade had to come out & all the customers got refunds.
