My larger point is that I don't believe any technology or tool that is being *used* to replace and impoverish human beings can be emancipatory. We can choose how we use tools and currently the choice is to use them to consolidate wealth and increase inequality. Any side effects are window dressing.

People who think voting is the be all and end all of societal change cannot then turn around and say it's inappropriate to criticise candidates or to demand they change their stance on issues. It is literally the foundational concept of elections that people can demand things of candidates.

I had scans last Friday and spoke to the radiologist throughout. Our conversation helped her find what she needed and helped to interpret the results. It also meant that when she spoke with a colleague she was able to relay the full picture of my problems, and help advocate for me. We need people.
