Interesting interaction with my P. murinus tarantula. Mature male, mellow disposition and never given me a defensive posture before. I love the tippy tap foot sounds!

I bought a bulk pack of eight 4" cube acrylic boxes for $20, made a hole template, drilled cross ventilation holes, and coated floor, ceiling, and back wall with gorilla glue, coir, and some rocks and twigs for hides. Sphagnum for humidity. Perfect enclosures for small arboreal invertibrates.

4 months after adopting this mature male Orange Baboon Tarantula I'm finally seeing him out and about! I usually only see legs sticking out of his burrow, and feeders disappear when I'm away. Now he's hanging out outside his burrow when I'm in the room.

The new terrarium is planted, the waterfall is running, and the isopods and springtails are settling in!

My mourning geckos are finally getting comfortable basking out in the open. They're also mating* like crazy and laying eggs, so I'll have an army of geckos soon. * The whole species is female, they're parthenogenic but they simulate courtship and mating before laying eggs.

Half way done with the hard scaping for my next terrarium! The left wall will be a a stream that drops into a waterfall. The back will be a dense planted wall. The forest floor will be panda king isopods and orange springtails. What should go in the arboreal layer?
