Thinking about how quiet the 1 bedroom house I rented in North Beach was. The loudest consistent noise was the occasional bus that stopped a few blocks away. It was a steal at $1600/month even in 2017. I couldn't afford to buy in that area though so now I live between a highway and a freeway.

Something I can’t stand about D5 politics is that there’s always tacit agreement that we “take on a disproportionate burden” of tiny houses or tent cities or whatever. I reject this framing entirely. Tent cities & tiny house villages are incredible assets to our community & make it a safer place.

Aurora Reimagined Coalition has a similar proposal for Oak Tree Village at N 100th and Aurora, 1 mile away from the Northgate Station. SPS owns an entire city block that could be developed into mixed use social housing.

If the sheer number of people attending the cross link celebration did not convince Sound Transit leadership not to cut any stations from ST3, then we need to seriously re-evaluate how Sound Transit is run. Today was a demonstration about how much we want more rail. Build the damn trains.

Really appreciate our electeds who took the time to tour the Rainier side of the new Judkins Park light rail today. There's still work to do to make this a safe and comfortable place for people to walk, roll, ride & live and it's going to take all of us pushing and dreaming of something better!

I don't think Sound Transit anticipated how popular this would be. The line to ride the link is hours long and spans the length of the I90 trail through Judkins Park

Way finding is so bad that Sound Transit pays people that you have to ask for directions.

As a new parent living in Seattle, I am having to deal with the 2+ year wait to get into a daycare. Every daycare I've contacted requires an application + application fee to get on the wait list with no guarantee that you will ever get in. Feels illegal.

I appreciate expanding public restrooms and I am curious how these high-tech public toilets fit the "unique historic character" of Pioneer Square. Is there something in the design here that can be applied to bike corrals at intersections?

If you've ever been to SF and wondered why there is a separate Muni system from BART just in SF, this is why. Failure of the region to expand transit results in the most dense areas building their own system.
