Update: the sheep horns that I found buried in the avalanche on Sunday were not attached to any other part of the sheep, so I carried them out. It occurred below a ridge I hiked all winter. Looking at my photos from the winter and based on distinctive markings, I spotted the sheep 3 times prior. RIP
