A while back, a man in his 70s looked at my bike skeptically. "Why do your ride it?" When I said "saves money," "doesn't pollute," he scoffed. But he agreed when he said it was good for my health. I forgot to tell him real reason: Joy. Day in, day out, my bike makes me happy. 🧵

Scientists have discovered a tiny blue octopus lurking beneath the waters near the Galápagos Islands. About the size of a golf ball, the newly identified deep-sea species was found nearly 1,800 meters below the surface during an expedition in the Pacific Ocean.

One day, I booked the day off in advance, ordered a game (RDR2), cycled down to the shop to pick it up, bought lots of snacks, cycled home, spent all day playing it. Best day ever. No regrets.

If all you want to do on your day off is play video games, that's a perfect day & let no one shame you for it! So naive when ppl look at others wrong because that's what they did on their free time. Gaming is a form of self-care & someone not understanding that is their loss.

I can't claim my EV is this fast to charge and it's certainly not one of fastest mainstream charging cars out there but on service station 55kw fast chargers. I can literally go to the bathroom, get a cup of tea and it's back on 90% In a few years, it'll be seconds.

So. What did you do on the hottest mayday of the year, ever? Well, I emptied a house of furniture and took it all to the tip. Yeah, that was a bad plan. Slightly sweaty now. I need to hydrate. Luckily I have beer in the fridge.
