It's appalling that anyone who wants to cycle north-south through Tottenham has a choice between #Cycleway1's dodgy alleyways and backstreets crammed with car parking, or a horribly busy A-road with designed pinch points and no protection from cars.

Very amused that my iPhone calendar thinks I drive! Keeps telling me that "traffic is heavy" and that I must "leave now"! Meanwhile, I have plenty of time for another cuppa before departing by bicycle, knowing full well I'll be there exactly on time.

The lack of comfortable, safe, cheap and convenient travel options in London is shocking. We want to go London Zoo on Saturday from Tottenham. Would love to go by bicycle, but there's no traffic-free route. Enduring the sweltering tube and/or bus is the only viable option.

Perfect example here on the A10 in Stamford Hill. A-roads like this have carved up communities and made the outside world feel intimidating and uninviting.

When promoting cycling - especially to work - imagery is hugely important. A person in a full Lycra suit, cycling shoes, no bag and a plastic hat does not cut it. It alienates lots of people who are on the fence about giving it a go. Cyclescheme, you've got to do better!

As you will see from my feed, there were lots of drivers doing stupid things yesterday. But this one takes the biscuit. Driving across a clearly marked cycle track without giving way on the wrong side of the road! Will report.

If the alignment of this route isn't going to be reconsidered (it should), then can we please remove cars from it. Most of C1 doesn't resemble a Cycleway.

Worth supporting. Even if you never step foot in Tower Hamlets, if you like the idea of TfL not pointlessly burning money, this should be of interest! The precedent set by the previous decision is when TfL agrees a plan with a borough, and funds that plan, councils can't just bulldoze it all later.

Seems we're unable to report illegal parking to the Met even when it poses a direct threat to public safety - such as parking on zig-zags next to a zebra crossing. The Met redirects you to the ASB page where it asks you to call 999! They'll surely no respond to this, will they?
