E-bikes - with pedal assist with speed & power limited by law - are legal and a great way to travel around London. Illegal electric motorbikes - with much more power, speed & weight and with an auto throttle - are a dangerous menace. Good to see the police taking action.

New separated cycle lanes popping up on Shaftesbury Ave. All it takes is political will + the removal of some unnecessary parking spaces. London is becoming a cycling city, reflecting a generational shift that recognises driving in urban areas as slow, inefficient use of time.

TfL has a property company called Places For London. Its role is to improve TfL’s properties & build new ones to help fund transport projects – including cycle lanes. I visited the Kilburn Mews scheme – transforming 12 arches into cool premises in a newly pedestrianised street.

The new Wimbledon Hill Rain Garden in Merton absorbs excess surface water before it reaches the low-lying town centre. It captures, slows & stores runoff, reducing the amount of water entering the sewer network - helping to lower flood risk. And it looks great🌱🌿🌹
