Important re Ian's TG thoughts in this: for a few years now my SIL makes a turkey and sides the day BEFORE, and on Thanksgiving we go from apps/snacks straight to desserts, saving the "meal" for evening sandwiches/plates to go. No timing hassles for either cooking or cleaning, minimal fuss.

I love the Thanksgiving tradition of showing all the normally unseen folks who put on the sports TV broadcasts we all watch.
