Bennett jumps straight from his start in the Spring Breakout to the SP60 countdown. The 6’6” lefty was acquired for fellow pitching prospect Luis Perales in December. ⬇️

When Gonzales isn’t logging the Northwoods with the help of his trusty blue ox, he is hitting baseballs very hard. While his exit velocities get the attention, the 19 year old also has a good approach at the plate, solid contact skills, and the arm to stick in the outfield. ⬇️

Boston’s top international free agent in the 2025 class, Soto had a strong DSL debut and arrives stateside this year. He is a natural athlete who should stick at shortstop despite being tall for the position at 6’3”, while the bat has the upside that may play anywhere on the field. ⬇️

The 33rd overall pick last July, Phillips is a big-righthander with a low three-quarters, almost sidearm, delivery angle. The former Tennessee Volunteer got a $2.5 million bonus after only 115 college innings. A 2nd-generation pro ballplayer, Phillips was a two-way player in JuCo. ⬇️

In a draft where the Red Sox focused on high-upside arms, Godbout was the standout bat. Boston nabbed him with the 2nd-round comp pick they got when Nick Pivetta signed in SD. Godbout maintains excellent contact rates without sacrificing the quality of that contact. ⬇️

After missing almost all of the previous two seasons after TJS, Uberstine was healthy and effective in ‘25, winning the SoxProspects Comeback POTY and re-establishing his prospect status. His 120.2 IP and 137 Ks both led the system. ⬇️

The PTBNL in the return for Quinn Priester, Holobetz was one of the most pleasant surprises in the system last year. His fastball is his main weapon while his secondaries develop. He has arguably the best control in the system, walking only 15 batters in 100.2 innings. ⬇️

Mullins led the Red Sox system with a 2.21 ERA (min. 70 IP) in 2025 on his way to winning Sea Dogs Pitcher of the Year. His best pitches are a mid-90s fastball and a slider, supplementing them with a sweeper and changeup. ⬇️

Bleis has struggled to capitalize on the upside he showed in 2022, when he established himself as a consensus top-100 prospect. He remains an interesting player as a natural, fluid defender in the outfield with enough pop and speed to contribute on offense. ⬇️

2025 was a struggle for Cespedes, who had an excellent stateside debut the previous season before getting hurt. Cespedes makes quality contact and has excellent physical tools, but will need to make more contact than last year in order to tap into those. ⬇️

Azocar generated buzz last year in spring training and kept that momentum with a hot start in the FCL. A late May promotion to Salem where he was one of the youngest players in the Carolina League proved to be more of a test. He likely to rejoin the (now) RidgeYak to start ‘26. ⬇️

Castro has been a fixture in the top 30 with his unspectacular but consistently solid play since his 2023 breakout. The 22-year-old has taken advantage of available playing time this spring training, hitting .308/.379/.462 in 14 games. ⬇️

Delzine is our third straight entry from the 2025 international class. The 6’4” righty got the largest bonus the Sox had given to a pitcher this decade when he inked for $500K. He supplements his fastball that already touches 94 with a curveball and changeup. ⬇️

Another top signee from the 2025 IFA class, Ramos joins Hector Rivas as a potential impact defender. In addition to his solid shortstop play, Ramos is a switch-hitter with contact skill who has earned fans for his strong work ethic. ⬇️

Rivas was one of Boston’s top signees from an exciting 2025 IFA class, getting a $950K bonus. Tall, lanky, and fast, Rivas has premium upside defensively and also shows some pop at the plate. Still only 17, he will debut stateside this year. ⬇️

"I don’t like pitching around the zone. I like throwing it and seeing if they can hit it." Ethan Walker was drafted by the Red Sox in the 12th round of the 2025 MLB Draft. He says his intensity on the mound is what sets him apart.

Despite likely being out for all of 2026 due to Tommy John Surgery, Monegro sits solidly in the top 30. Supplementing his 98 mph fastball with a nasty slider and solid curve, the righty fanned 49 in 33.2 innings for Portland before going on the shelf. ⬇️

Today marks the start of games in minor league camp, which will primarily be played against the Twins this year. Given the number of players still in MLB camp (esp. due to the WBC), as always, the affiliate to which players are assigned now does not necessarily indicate where they'll be this year.

Part of the package in the Oviedo trade from the Pirates, Samaniego is a tall lefty reliever who touches 97 with his fastball. He bounced back effectively from internal brace surgery in ‘24, earning him a 40-man spot. Looks to be in the mix for MLB bullpen innings in ‘26. ⬇️

The Red Sox drafted Cason as a 2-way player in 2024, spending $1.25 million to bring the 8th-rounder into the fold. After two games at short and one on the mound in ‘25, he suffered an elbow injury. Only 8 months post-Tommy John, Cason has been working out in the field in spring training. ⬇️

A 4th-round pick of the Yankees in 2024, Ziehl has been traded twice in the last year. The White Sox acquired him at the ‘25 deadline, then flipped him to Boston this winter in the David Sandlin deal. Ziehl is a control artist who mixes his pitches well, with his sweeper the best of his arsenal. ⬇️

We move into the top half of our countdown with our second straight catcher drafted in 2025 and then traded to Boston in the offseason. Guzman, a strong defensive backstop with a good plate approach, was a 5th rounder from Arizona who came to the Sox in the Oviedo deal. ⬇️

Primera rocketed up the rankings late in 2025 after a strong performance in the Dominican Summer League. After signing out of Venezuela in September ‘24 for only $10K, Primera hit .333/.465/.430 with only 15 strikeouts in 172 PA... ⬇️

Silverio is the second 2026 IFA and the youngest player on the countdown. The recipient of a $1.4M bonus, he has a smooth, natural left-handed swing that produces natural power. Already 6’1”, 200, Silverio likely projects as a corner outfielder who could mash. ⬇️

The first of two 2026 IFA on the top 60, Brito received a $1.2M bonus. A 17-year-old from Santo Domingo, he shows advanced plate discipline, quick hands, and easy athleticism that should allow him to be a strong defender even if he grows off of shortstop. ⬇️
