A pair of Red Sox pitching prospects had good outings for Salem yesterday. Myles Patton: 5 IP, 3 H, 3 ER, 1 BB, 5 K Jacob Mayers: 3 IP, 0 H, 0 ER, 2 BB, 6 K Patton, a 7th round 2025 pick, and Mayers, a 9th round pick in 2025, have both been intriguing names to follow.

In very unshocking news, Franklin Arias has been named Eastern League Player of the Month in Double-A and Anthony Eyanson has been named the South Atlantic League Pitcher of the Month in High-A.

Red Sox pitching prospect Anthony Eyanson is scheduled to make his Double-A debut on Saturday in Portland, I’m told.

Worcester is facing a loaded Scranton team this week that features Carlos Rodon (rehab start tonight), Anthony Volpe, George Lombard Jr., Luis Gil, Spencer Jones, and Carlos Lagrange. Sheesh.

Looks like the Red Sox have promoted pitcher Erik Rivera to Triple-A Worcester. WooSox are seriously light on the pitching staff due to recent MLB call ups.

Red Sox pitching prospect Cole Tolbert is being activated from the IL today and reporting to Salem. Tolbert was Boston’s 18th round pick in 2024 out of Ole Miss and had Tommy John surgery in March of last year.

Some notes on new Red Sox arm Alec Gamboa after talking with staff in Worcester: - Has done a really good job at attacking the zone over his last few outings. Has provided some deceptive qualities with above average ride on his 4-seam.

Red Sox prospect Hayden Mullins earlier today for Portland: 6 IP, 2 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 10 K, 15 whiffs Mullins now has 34 K’s over 22.2 IP this year. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him in Worcester sooner than later.

Red Sox prospect Devin Futrell turned in another great start for Greenville yesterday. 5.2 IP, 3 H, 1 ER. 2 BB, 5 K. Futrell now has a 0.77 ERA with a 0.60 WHIP along with 23 K’s over 23.1 IP in 2026.

Very impressive outing from Barrett Morgan tonight for Salem. 3.2 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 7 K. Morgan was an overslot signing out of Cowley CC by the Red Sox in the 11th round of last years draft. Now has a 0.96 ERA over 4 games.

Two guys stuck out from opening day of the FCL for the Red Sox. Conrad Cason is back. Two HRs as the DH today. Won’t be seeing him pitch this season due to TJ, but very cool to see him swing it well on day 1. Will get to see him at SS/2B eventually too.

Allan Castro hit three balls in play tonight over 104.4mph, which were the three hardest hit balls from Worcester tonight. A bit of bad luck only getting one hit.

Red Sox prospect Ethan Walker had another great outing for Salem yesterday. 5.2 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 9 K, 14 whiffs Walker, Boston’s 12th round pick last year out of Kentucky, has struck out 31 batters over 19.2 IP this year.

With Jake Bennett likely to get the start and make his MLB debut in Boston on Friday, there are a couple big things the pitching staff in Worcester were working on.

Red Sox pitching prospect Alex Bouchard yesterday for Greenville: 5.1 IP, 5 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 4 K. Bouchard has gotten up to 98mph and has seen great results with his cutter and sweeper. A name to keep an eye on this year.

Red Sox prospect Dylan Brown had another good start for Salem yesterday. 5.2 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, 3 BB, 7 K, 16 whiffs Brown, Boston’s 8th round pick last year, now has a 2.31 ERA with 32 K’s over 23.1 IP in 2026.

Great outing from Red Sox 2025 9th round pick Jacob Mayers last night for Salem. 4 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 4 K Mayers will be yet another name to watch this summer to see if command can improve. Stuff looks there.

Red Sox pitching prospect Wyatt Olds has given up 1 run and struck out 13 batters over his last 6.2 IP for Worcester. Olds might have some of the best stuff in the WooSox bullpen. Just needs to continue dialing in the command.

Drew Ehrhard is universally loved by players and staff across the Red Sox minor league system. Will be a great fit in Boston as the bullpen catcher and has a great relationship with many of the young pitchers on staff.

With all the promotions of minor league coaches to Boston, backfilling positions will have to come externally. The Red Sox will be looking at places like Driveline to fill open roles across the system due to being mid-season.

Chad Tracy gets win #1 with Boston. Iggy Suarez gets win #1 with Worcester. Kyle Sasala gets win #1 with Portland. Good day for managerial debuts at each level in the Red Sox system.

Portland just threw a combined no hitter and won the game 3-2. Hayden Mullins, Caleb Bolden, and Reidis Sena all held Hartford hitless.

The Red Sox are in great hands with Chad Tracy as their next manager. Knows all the young players having played for him in Worcester already. Tracy’s dad, Jim Tracy, was a long time MLB manager too. He knows what it takes.

Red Sox pitching prospect Devin Futrell for High-A Greenville yesterday in relief: 4.2 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 5 K. Now has a 0.51 ERA with 18 K’s over 17.2 IP between Salem and Greenville. Developing into a name to keep an eye on this year.

Red Sox prospect Dylan Brown led Low-A yesterday in whiffs with 19 (!!!) in route to striking out 7 batters over 5.2 IP. Brown, Boston’s 8th round pick in last years draft, has a 3.06 ERA and a 12.7 K/9 over 4 starts this season for Salem.

Red Sox pitching prospect Blake Wehunt is being activated off the IL and is starting for Double-A Portland today. Wehunt left his last start before hitting the IL with a hamstring injury.

Can confirm Tyler Milliken’s post that Eduardo Rivera is being called up by the Red Sox just one day after being added to Worcester’s official roster.

Pitcher Michael Sansone was sent back to Portland after an outstanding start for Worcester over the weekend. Angel Bastardo has officially been activated in Worcester and will make his 2026 Red Sox org debut this week.

John Holobetz has been named the Double-A Eastern League Pitcher of the Week after a 11 strikeout showing for Portland. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him in Worcester sooner than later.

Red Sox prospect Hayden Mullins led Double-A today in whiffs with 14 in route to his best start of the season. Mullins threw 6 shutout innings and gave up 3 hits, 1 walk, and struck out 8 batters. The lefty now has 15 K’s and 3 walks in his last two starts.

Like clockwork, Michael Sansone picks up his first win for Worcester after throwing six shutout innings while giving up only two hits and striking out five. Topped out at 89.5mph and still got the job done.

Red Sox prospect Anthony Eyanson threw another scoreless outing yesterday for Greenville. Over 3 games to start the year: 12.1 IP, 5 H, 1 ER, 0(!!!) BB, 18 K, 0.73 ERA, 0.41 WHIP Small sample size, but might need to get him up to Portland soon if he keeps it up.

Red Sox prospect Jake Bennett over 4 starts this season for Worcester: 16.1 IP, 0.55 ERA. 0.615 WHIP, 8 H, 1 ER, 13 K, 2 BB, .140 BAA. Bennett has looked really solid in Triple-A and is putting himself on the radar for an MLB promotion if needed.

The Red Sox are promoting pitcher Devin Futrell to High-A Greenville, I’m told. Futrell is fresh off winning High-A Player of the Week after throwing 5 no-hit innings for Salem.

Red Sox pitching prospect Devin Futrell for Low-A Salem today: 5 IP, 0 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 4 K Futrell carries a career 1.63 ERA over 71.2 IP and will be forcing a permanent promotion to Greenville sooner than later.

Red Sox 2025 7th rounder Myles Patton finished 3rd in Low-A in whiffs yesterday with 11 when he threw 3 innings out of the bullpen. Patton struck out 4 and gave up 1 run in his pro debut for Salem.

Red Sox 2024 3rd round pick Brandon Neely just made his pro debut for Low-A Salem and struck out five of the six batters he faced. Neely missed all of last season with forearm stiffness. Looks like he is feeling healthy.

Red Sox pitching prospect Patrick Halligan tonight for Portland: 3 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 7 K, 10 whiffs Halligan, who was signed in January, looked impressive in his second outing of the year. Looks every bit of his 6’6 frame on the mound.

Red Sox prospect Henry Godbout will make his 2026 debut for Greenville tonight after not playing opening weekend. Godbout had a fantastic start to his pro career after the draft last season posting a .950 OPS over 13 games.

Worcester takes Game 1 against St. Paul behind a great start by Payton Tolle. 6 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 7 K Noah Song threw a scoreless last inning to pick up his first save of 2026.

Red Sox pitching prospect Jake Bennett finished tied for first in whiffs in Triple-A yesterday in his start for Worcester. Bennett threw five shutout innings and gave up only one hit while striking out four. Pretty impressive in the very cold conditions in Minnesota.
