I am determined to ensure that young people in West Dunbartonshire don't miss out on the employment & training opportunities offered by Defence Technical Colleges. I asked if the Scottish Government have confirmed if they will match this UK Government funding for our colleges.

I recently brought together patients, clinicians, and local charity Histio Champions, in Parliament to discuss histiocytosis, a rare group of cancers, and the differences in accessing treatment in communities like ours in South East Cornwall.

I recently met with Chair James Brent and Chief Executive Neil Macdonald to talk about updates for University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust and what it means for those of us in South East Cornwall who access essential healthcare across the Tamar.

Fraud is now the most common crime in the UK. The government has put out a strong fraud strategy to start the fightback, but for that to work we need a good quality fraud reporting service. I want to see an urgent response to these findings which puts victims at its heart.

Many local people have been in contact with me about NHS dentistry services in South East Cornwall. That’s why I asked the Department for Health and Social Care about difficulties in accessing NHS dental care in rural areas like ours.

In Parliament, I emphasised that South East Cornwall is a vital part of the civilian and military workforce, and supply chains, that power this crucial national defence infrastructure. As one Team Tamar our communities must have a sustainable, long-term solution to the Tamar Crossings.
